Very based

Hi Slowbeef!

5/5 would play again.

Retsupurae did a video on this game. It was great.

Plot makes no sense and the compression kills it. I know Newgrounds will love it though.

Suspiciously I think most of the 5 star reviews come from "OMG A GURL XD" reviewers.

Ms-Bowser responds:

I can definately understand your criticism.. I made this game a long time ago, and I should have put more time and thought into it.
But it still has good qualities, and gets some points across as intended.

I am however wondering what you mean with "Suspiciously I think most of the 5 star reviews come from "OMG A GURL XD" reviewers"
I hope you're not saying that good reviews aren't worth anything if they come from a certain type of people... That some peoples' opinions are less worth than others?
Because I really resent that sort of thinking.

OR are you suggesting that people give more favorable reviews just because I'm a woman?
In that case, I really, really hope you're kidding.

Perhaps some people judge my game a bit more nicely because I've been pretty personal through the entire process (in my creator's notes, responses etc...) That's more about being a human being that a woman, in my opinion.

Anyway, please DO NOT disrespect my fans through comments like that.

Haha, sorry about the long reply. If you still have something you want to say or discuss, please feel free to email me.

Nice game. I really like Don't Look Back so by nature I would like this.

For those of you wondering what the plot is, this is what I see.

Guy wakes up in the morning and grieves over the death of his love to the point of insanity so he goes around shooting "demons". We don't see what the other version of him is doing (the "demon" version of him from the start). At the end he faces himself and loses to his inner "demons" (grief) and walks home to see the grave of his love. He meets the "demon" version of himself that flickers between being him and a demon. What I think this means is that in the other version of events that the player doesn't see, the demon character runs around on a massacre killing humans over the loss of his love. Of course it isn't a real demon but a metaphorical demon that symbolises the protagonist is losing a battle with his depression and grief over loss. The confrontation at the end shows this. The whole story is a metaphor for psychotic breaks and gun massacres of innocents.

Could be anything really but that's my interpretation.

rottenmage responds:

Thanks. That is pretty close to what we wanted to express. Although in our mind, those "demon" are just strangers walking down the street and are "killing" them in his mind. The walk back home was to reveal what things really are. But we did not have enough time to improve on the walk back home.

Why release an incomplete game?

GigixMayesty responds:

Cause i want some some feedback, but i'm still working on it :D.

Capital!
